1. About Us

FEATHERS is a not-for-profit organisation based in Thirumangalam, Tamil Nadu, committed to empowering children with developmental disabilities and special needs. Our mission is to build resilience, self-reliance, and excellence through programs such as:

• Early Intervention
• Special Education
• Learning Disability Support
• Art Integrated Learning
• Ecology Education & Action

We work closely with families, educators, and communities to create inclusive opportunities for education, skill-building, and social participation. Every contribution and act of support helps us create a more equitable and empowered society.

2. Refund Policy

FEATHERS is instituting a donation refund policy to ensure fair and transparent processing of requests for refunds of donations, as digital payments are becoming more frequent. FEATHERS expects that all donors will exercise due care and diligence while making donations. FEATHERS also recognises that a donation may be made erroneously. 

Donations

• All donations made to FEATHERS are non-refundable.
• Once a donation is processed successfully, it cannot be cancelled or refunded, except in cases of technical errors such as duplicate transactions.
• If you believe an error has occurred in your donation, please contact us within 7 days of the transaction.
• FEATHERS will examine each request for a refund of a donation and endeavour to make the refund. FEATHERS may also seek further information/documents, and the donor must co-operate in this regard.
• Refunds, if approved, will be processed within 10–15 working days via the same payment method used.
• However, FEATHERS is not obliged to make refunds and may, in its discretion,      decline any requests for refund of donations, particularly if a tax exemption certificate has been issued.

Event Registrations / Products (if applicable)

• Event or program registration fees are refundable only if FEATHERS cancels the event.
• In case of cancellation from your side, no refund will be issued unless otherwise stated in the event’s terms.

3. Law of Jurisdiction

These terms and all disputes arising from the use of feathers.org.in are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.

• The exclusive jurisdiction for all disputes shall be the courts located in Madurai, Tamil Nadu.
• Users accessing the website from outside India agree to comply with local laws while also consenting to the jurisdiction of Indian courts.

4. Payment Flow

When you make a donation or payment through our website:

1. Choose Donation Amount / Event Fee
   • Select a fixed amount or enter a custom amount.
   • For event registrations, select the event and fee category.

1. Provide Your Details
   • Name, email, phone number, and address.
   • For donations, PAN number is required for issuing an 80G tax exemption receipt (Indian donors).

1. Secure Payment Gateway
   • You will be redirected to our secure payment partner (e.g., Razorpay, PayU, or other authorised provider).
   • Payment methods accepted: Credit/Debit Cards, Net Banking, UPI, and Wallets.

1. Confirmation Page
   • Once the payment is successful, you will see an on-screen confirmation and receive an email receipt.

1. Tax-Exemption Receipt (for Indian donors)
   • Issued within 7–10 working days via email.
